Description
The Opportunity:
As a Mission Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Specialist you will ensure that technological solutions and component integrations are rigorously modeled and assessed, coordinating efforts across the Command. You will apply advanced analytical methods to help defense organizations evaluate mission performance, emerging capabilities, and operational concepts. You will shape modeling approaches, integrate varied data sources, and generate insights that support mission engineering, experimentation, and decision‑making across complex operational environments. You’ll collaborate with analysts, technical partners, and cross‑functional teams to refine models, interpret mission outcomes, and communicate analysis that informs operational improvements.
You will help evolve modeling practices, strengthen analytical rigor, and contribute to developing new approaches that enhance mission understanding. Through clear documentation, analytical artifacts, and stakeholder engagement, you will support capability development and advance modeling and simulation tradecraft across the team.
Join us. The world cannot wait.
You Have:
Experience with mission analysis, operational assessments, or modeling and simulation within defense or national security contexts
Experience developing or applying structured analytical methods to examine emerging mission needs, capabilities, or operational concepts
Experience working with experimentation data, test results, or mission‑engineering activities and translating them into actionable insights
Experience coordinating analysis efforts or aligning modeling activities across varied teams or stakeholder groups
Knowledge of how modeling and simulation informs concept validation, procedural refinement, or updates to mission‑level practices
Ability to adopt new analytical techniques and proactively solve complex mission and modeling challenges
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
Nice If You Have:
Experience with object‑oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, or MATLAB
Experience with advanced modeling and simulation environments, including tools such as AFSIM
Experience with additional modeling methods such as discrete‑event simulation, agent‑based modeling, network or physics‑based modeling, or stochastic processes
Experience developing evaluation frameworks, metrics, or structured assessment criteria supporting mission or capability analysis
Experience with mission‑engineering concepts, experimentation campaigns, or analytical processes that inform capability development
Experience refining or creating analytical scripts for automation or data processing
Knowledge of statistical or computational techniques that support quantitative mission assessments
Possession of strong analytical reasoning and communication skills to support technical discussions and synthesize findings for senior audiences
Master’s degree in a STEM field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
