As a Fab Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working with a team of other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Responsible for new product startup and sustaining high volume product yield/product grade improvement
- Lead Yield/Product Grade enhancement, including monitoring, performance to plan, and drive improvement
- Perform data analysis through analysis/statistic tools, summarize, present and publish data/result to all associated groups.
- Design and run DOE to drive improvement activities.
- Drive taskforce meeting to mitigate yield loss and generate roadmap for continuous improvement process with cross functional team
- Communicated effectively with key stakeholders, able to propose strategy and make decision based on data and result.
- Collaborated with the wafer fab process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yield
- Collaborated with FAB/MH/PE/PYE/etc to resolve process/device/test related issues.
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Microelectronic/Material Science/Data Science/Physics/Mathematics/Statistics.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal to all level.
- Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects and driving them to completion.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong peer relationships
- Experience in yield analysis/EFA will be added advantage in consideration.
- Good understanding of CMOS device physics is an added advantage
- Knowledge of NAND devices operations is an added advantage
- Understanding of probe test flow & test methodology including array operation, customer feature and specification is an added advantage.
- Willing to work flexible hours that overlap with different time zones if necessary.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
