Specialist Programmes Manager

We’re looking for a Programme Management Specialist who will work on business development and project management within the ACCA Consults team focusing on ACCA’s Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and the Americas (EEMA) region.

This is a part-time job share role of 14 hours per week on a fixed term basis until December 2027, ideally worked on Monday and Friday. You will lead work across agreed parts of the region and share responsibility and cover for the wider region with your job-share partner.

About ACCA Consults

ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a global professional accountancy body. ACCA Consults is its consulting and capacity-building team. We work with governments, regulators, professional accountancy organisations, development partners and other institutions to strengthen public financial management, accountancy systems, sustainability reporting and professional skills. We identify funded work, assemble suitable experts and partners, and manage projects from proposal to completion.

The Job

Reporting to the Head of ACCA Consults, you’ll be involved in the following:

• Be the main ACCA Consults contact for agreed parts of the Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and the Americas (EEMA) region, working with ACCA colleagues and external organisations to identify needs and develop potential projects.
• Help grow and manage networks of external consultants and potential project partners, building strong relationships and keeping expert information and records up to date.
• Build effective relationships with funders, clients, project partners and experts, and with ACCA colleagues working in regional, public affairs, learning, policy, legal and tax roles.
• Manage, write and review project proposals, coordinating contributions, developing clear plans and budgets, and finding suitably qualified experts.
• Project manage assigned projects, ensuring high quality delivery in line with contractual requirements, and within agreed budgets and timescales, while maintaining client satisfaction and contributing to ACCA's public value aims.
• Use sound project management processes for quality, finances, risks, project teams, reporting and client relationships.
• Work closely with your job-share partner, using clear handovers, shared responsibilities and mutual cover to maintain continuity across the wider region.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong project management skills, including budgeting, financial and risk management, team leadership, organisation and problem-solving.
• Communicates clearly and has strong presentation, facilitation, report-writing and proposal-writing skills.
• Builds trusted client and stakeholder relationships and can influence and negotiate effectively across countries and cultures.
• Can quickly understand ACCA's strategic aims and the environment in which it operates, and takes a proactive approach to growing consulting work.
• Works independently, makes sound decisions under pressure and collaborates effectively through clear handovers and shared accountability.
