Global Inventory Planning department is responsible for accurately forecast short and longer term inventory projections with cash flow impacts.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Inventory Site Lead to take ownership of their assigned site. In this critical role, you will act as the bridge between supply chain operations and finance. Your primary focus will be driving accurate inventory projections to optimize working capital and championing site-level initiatives to mitigate Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Cash Flow Projection
Forecast Working Capital: Develop, maintain, and refine short- and long-term inventory projections
Ensure Projection Accuracy: Analyze historical trends, incoming supply plans, and shipment forecasts to build highly accurate inventory models.
Identify Variances: Conduct root-cause analysis on plan-versus-actual inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future variance.
Target Setting: Establish site-level inventory targets and track performance against these KPIs.
E&O Mitigation Champion
Lead E&O Reviews: Facilitate regular cross-functional E&O review cadences
Proactive Risk Management: Identify at-risk inventory (aging, slow-moving, or nearing end-of-life) before it becomes obsolete.
Drive Action Plans: Champion the execution of mitigation strategies, including liquidation, rework, return-to-vendor (RTV), and strategic scrapping.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement standardized processes to prevent the future accumulation of E&O stock.
Site Leadership & Data Integrity
Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary inventory point of contact for the site, partnering closely with Warehouse Operations and Supply Planning.
Safety Stock Optimization: Routinely review, propose, and implement appropriate safety stock levels to balance service level requirements with inventory and cash flow targets
Basic Requirements
Experience: 3–5+ years in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Analysis, or Supply Chain Finance.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), experience with SQL is desired but not mandetory
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of how inventory movement impacts the balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L.
Soft Skills: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Excellent communication skills to present complex data to leadership clearly.
