The Shipping Clerk I will perform weekly pallet inventories and assist purchasing for timely deliveries. Miscellaneous projects assigned by the Asst. Logistics Manager, Logistics Manager, Own the organization of the main warehouse. Other Duties as Assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Schedule and maintain an appointment calendar for trucks coming into deliver or pickup shipments.
Assist with preparation of international documents needed for shipment
Filing
Learn Syngenta process for receiving and shipping
Answer phone calls related to shipping and receiving
Assist with UPS shipments
Learn barcoding system
Provide follow up with customer returns and complaints
Cycle counting and inventory discrepancies
Identify process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies in the shipping and receiving operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimal experience with shipping and operating a forklift.
Microsoft Office
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common shipping reports and regulatory documents regarding shipping. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management.
MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver’s license.
