Overview:
This role provides leadership and client management for delivery of infrastructure projects. This role oversees multiple project management teams, drives client relationships with agencies such as DOT and municipalities, and ensures technical and financial excellence across complex, multi-discipline projects. The position combines strategic business development, team mentorship, and operational oversight to sustain and grow the firm’s transportation practice.
Responsibilities:
Lead multiple project management teams, providing direction on workload, scheduling, QA/QC, and technical execution
Build and strengthen senior-level relationships with DOT, municipalities, and other clients to win and deliver high-impact projects
Oversee multi-discipline consultant teams throughout project development and design
Drive business growth by securing new contracts including development of solicitation response, expanding existing relationships, and cross-selling firm services
Executing the teams strategic plan including growth goals, employee development, and client engagement
Ensure financial success by managing utilization, backlog, invoicing, AR, and project budgets
Mentor and develop team members, fostering career growth and professional excellence
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
15+ years of progressive, multi-discipline experience in design managing transportation projects from conception to completion
Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships, with a strong focus on DOT and municipal projects
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams
Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets and driving profitability
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company at senior levels
Active participation in professional and civic organizations, with a commitment to giving back to the engineering profession and community
