Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering major onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving engineering delivery across Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design phases, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple projects.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time and meet project requirements.
• Manage engineering budgets, schedules, resources, and performance.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation, and resolution of technical issues.
• Facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, model reviews, and design assurance activities.
• Interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
• Support proposal development and technical bid evaluations when required.
• Promote engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Engineering Manager.
• Strong background in Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience working on major onshore and/or offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Previous Middle East project experience preferred.

✅ Direct QatarEnergy project experience is essential.

Preferred Experience

• LNG, gas processing, pipelines, offshore platforms, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
• Experience within EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, or PMC organizations.
• Experience managing multicultural engineering teams.
