## Join our Team
About this opportunity:
Ericsson Research develops communication technologies and standards that connect people, businesses, and society. Our Radio team works on advanced solutions for future wireless networks, including antenna systems, signal processing, and artificial intelligence.
As a Researcher at Ericsson Research Radio, you will be responsible for providing Ericsson with 6G and beyond world-class system concepts, technology innovations, and methodology. You will work with researchers, universities, customers and industry partners in a collaborative, international environment.
What you will do:
- Define and assess new radio communication concepts for 6G and beyond, including the use of artificial intelligence.
- Use analysis, simulations, experiments, and prototypes to evaluate technical ideas.
- Create and support intellectual property and contributions to 3GPP standardization.
- Collaborate across research teams and with universities, customers, and external partners.
- Develop solutions for performance differentiation of Ericsson products and potentially for dual use applications.
- Present technical findings and explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The skills you bring:
- A master’s or doctoral degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, data science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- Experience in wireless communication systems, particularly physical-layer technologies, radio sensing, and artificial intelligence.
- Experience using Python or similar programming languages and machine learning tools for simulations and analysis.
- An understanding of 3GPP radio access network standards, especially RAN1 or RAN4, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate ideas using both theory and practical testing.
- Clear written and spoken English communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with people from different technical and cultural backgrounds.
- Motivation to explore new ideas and contribute to the development of future communication technologies.
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with a hybrid work model.
