Tournant Head Chef | Perth

We’re looking for an experienced Tournant Head Chef to join Australian Venue Co in Perth and bring their leadership, energy and kitchen expertise across some of our venues South of the River, including the Applecross area.

This isn’t your typical Head Chef role. As a Tournant Head Chef, you’ll have the opportunity to work across different kitchens, teams and styles of operation -stepping in where your experience is needed and helping our venues deliver great food and great service.

From busy pubs and waterfront venues to large-scale functions and high-volume services, no two days will look exactly the same.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting Head Chefs and kitchen teams across multiple venues
• Stepping into leadership roles during leave, vacancies and periods of high demand
• Maintaining strong food quality, presentation and consistency
• Leading services and keeping the kitchen running smoothly
• Coaching, supporting and developing kitchen teams
• Helping venues with menu execution, prep, stock and kitchen organisation
• Maintaining food safety and kitchen compliance standards
• Bringing a positive, hands-on approach to every kitchen you work in
• Helping identify opportunities to improve kitchen operations and team performance

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader who is confident stepping into different environments and getting stuck in.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has strong commercial kitchen experience
• Is confident leading a team and running busy services
• Can adapt quickly to different kitchens, menus and teams
• Has excellent organisation and communication skills
• Leads by example and brings a calm, positive approach
• Takes pride in food quality and kitchen standards
• Enjoys developing people and helping teams succeed
• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and isn't afraid to get hands-on
• Has a reliable car and valid driver's license

Flexibility and a willingness to travel between South-of-the-River venues is essential.
