Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Mornings in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Professional supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet tools, you will communicate clearly, document activity, and collaborate with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of activity entering and leaving the site to help support authorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site requirements and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
