The Opportunity
Join Manulife Vietnam's Compliance team as a Manager, Financial Crime Compliance and play a key role in strengthening our financial crime risk management framework. This role offers the opportunity to work across AML/ATF, sanctions, FATCA, compliance testing, regulatory implementation and FCC transformation initiatives. You will partner with business leaders, Regional Compliance and Global teams to enhance controls, support modernization efforts and contribute to a strong culture of compliance. Key Responsibilities
Compliance Independent Oversight & Challenge (CIOC)
Lead FCC oversight and challenge activities across key risks, controls and processes.
Challenge business stakeholders and control owners on FCC risk management, issue remediation and control effectiveness.
Escalate material control gaps and emerging FCC risks in a timely manner.
Financial Crime Compliance Operations & Investigations
Manage FCC operations, including transaction monitoring reviews, investigations, suspicious activity assessments and STR-related activities.
Advise on AML/ATF, sanctions, KYC/CDD and financial crime risk matters.
Identify, assess, escalate and support remediation of financial crime risks.
FCC Governance & Advisory
Maintain and enhance AML, FATCA, ABAC and related FCC frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
Monitor regulatory updates, perform gap assessments and coordinate required implementation actions.
Support regulatory reporting, management reporting, policy reviews and governance activities.
Provide practical, risk-based FCC advice to business and functional stakeholders.
ABAC & Gifts and Entertainment Governance
Oversee ABAC and Gifts & Entertainment governance activities.
Review and advise on gifts, hospitality, third-party interactions and corruption-related risks.
Promote awareness of ABAC principles and conduct expectations.
Compliance Testing, QA & Control Effectiveness
Design, coordinate and execute FCC testing and QA reviews in line with Global Compliance requirements.
Track testing findings, remediation actions and issue closure.
Support implementation of the future Compliance testing framework.
FCC Modernization & Transformation
Support FCC Modernization and future operating model transformation initiatives.
Participate in requirement gathering, process redesign, UAT, implementation and post-implementation activities.
Coordinate with Regional and Global Compliance stakeholders on FCC transformation work.
Regulatory Change & Implementation
Assess regulatory change impact and drive implementation within FCC processes and controls.
Advise business and functional teams on FCC regulatory expectations.
Coordinate regulatory change actions with internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
Represent FCC in discussions with senior business stakeholders, control functions, Regional Compliance and Global teams.
Drive alignment on FCC risks, controls, testing, remediation and transformation priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Banking, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in Compliance, FCC, AML, Risk Management, Internal Audit or related functions within financial services.
Strong knowledge of AML/ATF, sanctions, KYC/CDD, FATCA, ABAC and financial crime risk management.
Experience in investigations, STR processes, regulatory compliance, testing, assurance or control reviews.
Strong judgement, analytical ability, stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience in compliance oversight, testing, assurance, regulatory implementation or transformation initiatives is preferred.
