Description
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to drive process optimisation, performance improvement and business transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product designers, testers and other specialists to analyse current processes, design future-state operating models and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and map As-Is and To-Be business processes, value chains and operating models.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring quality, scope and delivery timelines are achieved.
- Identify process bottlenecks and improvement opportunities using process analytics and process mining.
- Develop business cases, calculate ROI and demonstrate the value of process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic process solutions.
- Apply process design, workflow streamlining, change management and BPM principles.
- Support the integration of BPMS, process mining, RPA and automation technologies into business processes.
- Ensure risks, controls, compliance requirements and audit readiness are embedded within processes.
- Develop communication and mitigation plans to support successful organisational change.
- Maintain accurate process artefacts, models and registers in line with required standards.
- Provide progress reporting and support benefit realisation following implementation.
- Apply data, big data and process intelligence concepts to improve business and customer outcomes.
Requirements:
- A Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business or related NQF 7 qualification.
- 7–10 years' relevant experience in process engineering, business process management or process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in BPM, change management and performance improvement.
- Experience leading small-to-medium process and performance improvement engagements.
- Knowledge of BPMN/UML, process design, process measurement and analysis.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, project management and BPMS tools.
- Knowledge of process mining, RPA, automation and emerging technologies within the BPM environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, presentation and business writing skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, consulting and influencing capabilities.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- LEAN/SIX SIGMA Yellow Belt, CBPP or Business Analysis certification would be advantageous.
