Responsibilities & Requirements
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Primary Care provides comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health education for individuals and families across the lifespan. This role collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote wellness, manage acute and chronic conditions, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with Ohio law and organizational policy. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; completion of graduate-level clinical practicum in an advanced practice nursing program.Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area from a board-approved certifying organization (e.g., ANCC, AANP). Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Ph.D. in Nursing. Experience in a primary care or family practice setting. Specialty certification relevant to area of practice. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
This position will support our partnership with Wilmington College’s on-site Health Center. APRN will support students’ health inquiries and work collaboratively with Wilmington College’s on-site nurses. In addition to evaluating and treating general health conditions within the scope of practice, APRN will manage chronic health conditions. There may be opportunities to collaborate with Wilmington College on health and wellness initiatives.
