Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Facility Full Time Patrol Monitoring in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, and respond professionally to routine concerns. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor entry procedures, access control requirements, and directions to campus locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and security-related concerns in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
