  • Lead ~5-8 direct reports as LEAN project managers with dotted-line support from global test teams.

  • Operations optimization for wind tunnels, proving grounds, crash barrier, emissions testing, HV battery & inverter testing, hardware/software/vehicle-in-the-loop simulation, engine/transmission dynamometers, interior and exterior component and subsystem testing, etc.
  • Own labor forecasting and productivity improvement process for 2,300-person global workforce, ensuring laboratories are prepared for upcoming test demands.
  • Adapt and standardize the Ford LEAN Maturity Model (LMM) from Ford Manufacturing into the laboratory environment across global facilities, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance/Environment, and Ford Production System Pillars.
  • Optimize current $5Bn asset footprint and identify upcoming capital investment needs (5-year horizon) to deliver next-generation test capability in support of upcoming cycle plan.
  • Lead “Joint-Efficiency” workstreams by partnering with Ford’s engineering communities to improve their throughput and efficiency while testing in VEV laboratories.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration, or related
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of technical experience in engineering and operations
  • Broad facility, laboratory, engineering, and test experience
  • Experience with test execution, sensors & measurements, data analysis and reporting
  • Electrical/simulation environment experience supporting advanced test methods, simulation & automation

Even better, you may have...
