Position Summary
The Work Week Manager (Lead Work Management Specialist) position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of integrated risk-based schedules for online preventive and corrective activities, surveillances, major projects, and modifications. The position works collaboratively with site work groups to prepare work schedules and independently lead the site work groups in the risk management of schedule activities, driving accountability across the organization for adherence to work management standards. During assigned execution weeks, the Work Week Manager functions as a Next Level Leader for integrated work execution and drives accountability across site organizations to meet schedule commitments and manage risk. Additionally, this position facilitates the work week critique process to identify lessons learned and incorporate learnings into future improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develops schedules or reports that integrates work for all stations groups (OPS, MNT, Chemistry, etc.). Resolves schedule conflicts and problems with support of station groups such that personnel, nuclear, and radiological risk is minimized and efficiency is maximized.
- Coordinates and communicates during the preparation and execution phase of work to ensure activities can be accomplished as scheduled.
- Leads multi-discipline special project teams or meetings as they relate to the Work Management Process.
- Monitors and tracks progress of work planning/scheduling during the preparation phase and during the work execution phase to ensure that problems are immediately identified and resolved such that Work Management goals are achieved.
- Ensures emergent work is appropriately prioritized and aggressively pursued to minimize impact on the Work Management and Risk Management process.
- Ensures that lessons learned related to the Work Management process are captured in the corrective action program and ultimately factored in such that continuous improvement is ensured.
- Coaches and mentors other Work Management Specialists.
- Represents the site or department in their field of expertise.
- Supports additional station Online, Outage, and Emergency roles as assigned. (i.e. Outage Control Center execution, Emergency Response Organization qualification, etc.)
Required/Basic Qualifications
- High School/GED degree
- 6 years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- In addition to desired degree, 8 years related work experience
- Senior Reactor Operator and/or Reactor Operator
Additional Preferred Qualifications
In depth knowledge of power plant operation.
Previous supervisor or management experience in a nuclear environment
Advanced knowledge of the nuclear work management process
Advanced knowledge of the nuclear work management and scheduling software.
Advanced knowledge of nuclear procedures and processes for all groups
Advanced knowledge of standard office tools (i.e. MS office products)
Skilled in managing projects
Basic knowledge of the Work Management process
Working knowledge of company computer systems/programs that are utilized in the Work Management process.
Basic scheduling tool knowledge
Demonstrated effective time management skills
Demonstrated effective skills in problem solving.
Ability to effectively perform independently with minimal direction.
Interpersonal skills to effectively work with all station groups
Exceptional skills at leading effective/efficient meetings
Good written and oral communication skills.

Working Conditions
Generally, an office environment but will be expected to spend time in the plant as needed conducting work management activities.
