Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Defect Claims Adjuster to join their Claims team. This individual will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving complex construction defect claims while delivering exceptional service to insureds, brokers, attorneys, and other business partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling Commercial General Liability and Construction Defect claims, including complex coverage issues, litigation, and multi-party claims.
Salary/Benefits:

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience handling Construction Defect and/or complex General Liability claims.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial General Liability policies and coverage analysis.
- Experience managing litigated claims and working closely with defense counsel.
- Knowledge of construction practices, contracts, risk transfer, additional insured issues, and indemnification agreements is highly preferred.
- Experience handling multi-party and high-exposure claims.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex Construction Defect claims from initial assignment through resolution.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine coverage, liability, damages, and exposure.
- Review policies and analyze complex coverage issues.
- Coordinate with insureds, brokers, attorneys, experts, contractors, and other involved parties.
- Manage litigated claims and partner with defense counsel to develop effective litigation and resolution strategies.
- Evaluate settlement opportunities and negotiate resolutions within established authority.
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, indemnity agreements, tenders, and other claim-related documentation.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
- Identify potential risk transfer and subrogation opportunities.
- Prepare clear and timely claim documentation and reports.
- Ensure claims are handled in compliance with company guidelines, applicable laws, and industry best practices.
