What this job involves:
JLL is seeking an Operations Lead for a prominent energy client in Sarnia. The Lead will advise and act as Foreman for maintenance staff and contractors, as well as be hands on to some of the maintenance work. The Lead will also interact closely with the client and ensure expectations are met and the team is providing exceptional service. Supervisory duties include some administration for the team and site as well management reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable in aspects of site administration and overall maintenance activities.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Supervises and directs maintenance staff and monitors performance of assigned responsibilities
- Performs and/or directs the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
- Supervises and implements the preventative maintenance program
- Ensure that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate cleanupPerform/supervise maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned
- Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing
- Prepare and submit Work Orders
- Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
- Perform additional job duties as requested
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of maintenance operations experience in an industrial environment
- Supervisory experience for team members and contractors
- Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
- Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Electrician, HVAC technician or other trade or an engineering degree is an asset.
Estimated compensation for this position:
This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Some roles and employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, benefits, or other compensation.
