Description
A specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in Bethlehem is seeking to recruit a Medical Practice Assistant to provide administrative and operational support within the practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day to day operations while delivering a professional and compassionate patient experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage front desk and patient reception duties
- Coordinate appointments and diary management
- Answer calls, emails, and patient enquiries professionally
- Maintain and update patient records accurately
- Assist with administrative and operational functions within the practice
- Prepare patient files and documentation for consultations
- Liaise with patients, healthcare providers, and service suppliers
- Process patient payments and issue receipts where required
- Assist with practice coordination and workflow management
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and practice information
- Support the doctor with day to day administrative tasks.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Previous experience within a medical practice advantageous
- Administrative or medical office experience beneficial
- Computer literacy essential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate in Afrikaans and Sesotho advantageous
