Description
We are Asian restaurant Xin Hao B.V. and we are looking for a passionate **Independent Chef I** to strengthen our kitchen team. Are you a chef who performs best in the kitchen? As a chef, you feel responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes and parts of dishes. You work under the supervision of our head chef or owner, but you are also able to run the kitchen independently when needed. In addition, you work together with a fellow chef and, when necessary, supervise kitchen assistants. ## Tasks
- Selecting and preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
- Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments as needed.
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
- Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making corrections where necessary.
- Keeping track of stock levels, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
- Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
- Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
- Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus, the menu list, and working methods

- MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you don't meet the requirements, apply anyway!)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
