Join us as our new Texture Screening Scientist and become part of a passionate team making a real difference through innovative technology. You will join a highly motivated and dedicated team based in Hørsholm, where we develop assays and screening methodologies to identify and isolate promising microbial strains for future biosolutions.
The role & your impact
As our new Texture Screening Scientist, you will play an important role in shaping the next generation of innovative biosolutions, primarily within dairy. This is a role with strong innovation impact, combining scientific expertise, technology development, and cross-functional collaboration to support new product development from early ideation through to late-stage delivery.
Your key responsibilities in this role
Play a key role in developing new products from early ideation through to late-stage delivery, helping bring the next generation of innovative biosolutions to market, primarily within dairy.
Continuously advance our screening platforms and predictive assays, with a particular focus on texture descriptors.
Develop and optimize assays that support high-quality, high-throughput screening of microbial strains.
Collaborate across functions to build strong partnerships and contribute to a culture of openness, knowledge sharing, and joint problem-solving.
Contribute scientific insight and practical experimentation to identify and isolate promising microbial lead candidates for food applications.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
Ph.D. degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Proven expertise in developing and optimizing assays for high-throughput screening.
Strong scientific understanding combined with a passion for innovative technology.
A commitment to continuous learning and curiosity for new methodologies and approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative and inclusive mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines.
Additional skills & interests we value
In-depth knowledge of cheese and yogurt fermentation processes.
Expertise in texture measurements.
Experience working with lactic acid bacteria.
Experience from food, fermentation, or biosolutions-related innovation environments.
