Senior Bid Manager

We’re looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join us at Telia Cygate. 

My name is Erling Linde, Bid Manager & Sales Excellence, and I’m looking for a Senior Bid Manager who wants to lead complex and business-critical bids within IT, security, and digital infrastructure—while making a real impact in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role, you will plan, lead, and ensure the quality of bid processes—from analyzing request documentation to delivering a final proposal, supporting negotiations, and handing over to delivery. You will work closely with colleagues across sales, solution, delivery, legal, security, and finance to create competitive, clear, and sustainable business proposals.
 

What you’ll do 

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will:
 

• Lead complex bid and proposal processes from start to finish
• Analyze RFP/RFT documentation and identify requirements, risks, and opportunities
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure smooth collaboration and progress
• Manage information security and regulatory requirements in bids
• Contribute to go/no-go decisions, pricing, risk assessments, and overall strategy
• Write clear, engaging, and high-quality proposal content
• Support negotiations and customer clarifications
• Review and adapt contractual terms during the bid process
• Help develop our ways of working, templates, and best practices

We also see it as a strong advantage if you have an interest or experience in areas such as information security, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, GDPR).

You don’t need to be a technical expert - what matters is your ability to understand requirements, identify risks, ask the right questions, and ensure clear and business-relevant responses.
 

What will help you thrive in this role 

We are looking for someone with experience in Bid Management, Proposal Management, or a similar role—preferably within IT, telecom, cybersecurity, managed services, cloud, networking, or the public sector.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable navigating complexity, multiple stakeholders, and tight deadlines. You bring structure, clarity, and strong business understanding, and you communicate in a way that supports confident decision-making.

We believe you may have experience with:

• Larger RFP/RFT processes
• Public procurement
• Requirement and risk analysis
• Information security requirements and related documentation
• Working closely with sales, technical teams, legal, and delivery
• Contracts and commercial terms
• Writing clear, tailored, and customer-focused proposals
