Overview

A wonderful and kind family in North Dallas, Texas, is seeking a full-time live-out nanny to care for their four children, ages 10, 9, 6, and 4. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and one Saturday a month from 9 am to 5 pm.  Roughly 45 hours or more a week. 

Responsibilities

 
  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for four children ages 10, 9, 6, and 4
  • Manage all aspects of the children's daily routines, including dressing, hygiene, meals, and bedtime preparation when needed
  • Prepare healthy meals, lunches, and snacks for the children
  • Clean up after children's meals and activities
  • Keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings organized and tidy
  • Make children's beds and maintain organization of their personal spaces
  • Handle all children's laundry, including washing, folding, putting away, and monitoring clothing needs
  • Transport children safely to and from school, sports practices, activities, lessons, and appointments
  • Coordinate and manage after-school schedules and extracurricular activities
  • Support homework completion and encourage age-appropriate independence and responsibility
  • Plan engaging activities, outings, and play opportunities that promote learning, creativity, and development
  • Accompany the family on travel as needed and provide childcare support while traveling
  • Work collaboratively with parents to maintain consistency in routines, expectations, and discipline
  • Provide additional support and structure for the family's oldest child, who has ADHD and is gifted, including helping manage transitions, schedules, and daily organization
  • Communicate proactively with parents regarding schedules, activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns
  • Maintain flexibility as the family's needs evolve and as the children's schedules change over time

Qualifications

  • The ideal person will speak Portuguese but this is not required.

Requirements

  • Driving and swimming 
  • This person should be able to travel with the family on some domestic and international trips.
