The job that is available is a permanent full-time role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.  This is a replacement role in an established organisation.  You will be based in Shannon.  You are a person who enjoys working in an established organisation which is experiencing growth.

You will be office-based in this role five days per week.  There is no hybrid working arrangements available in this job.

The following list is not exhaustive.  The job will involve the following responsibilities, amongst others:

• Lead the mechanical design, development and continuous improvements of components for industrial products
• Ensure suitable materials and methods are used for the appropriate product manufacture
• Assess requirements for products by collaborating with colleagues across the organisation
• Complete feasibility studies at product design concept stage
• Document detailed files to support the design and specification process

In order to ensure you are selected for consideration for this job opportunity, you must have the following:

• Hold a third level degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Have a minimum of five years' experience in industrial product design
  
• Proven ability to lead and mentor team members along with working across multidisciplinary teams to achieve set product design goals
