Description

JOB OBJECTIVE: To operate heavy equipment in constructing, maintaining and repairing streets, ditches, alleys and other Public Works projects.

This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of eighth (8^th) grade and one (1) year of experience in the operation of heavy earth-moving equipment or related equipment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

Must possess a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment; Must obtain a valid Arkansas Class A (Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License without Automatic Transmission “E” or Tractor Trailer “O” restriction and must obtain an N endorsement within one hundred and twenty (120) days of employment and maintain licensure and endorsement for duration of employment in this position.
Must complete the NeoGov leadership learning plan prior to the completion of the six month probationary period.
