About the Role

  • In this role, you will be responsible for a fleet of prototype vehicles used for UX validation, feature testing, and customer demonstrations. These vehicles are critical for assessing both the market readiness of individual components and the overall user experience, ensuring that all systems come together seamlessly from a customer perspective.

  • You will coordinate the integration and build of these vehicles across global locations in Europe, the United States, and Asia, ensuring smooth collaboration and consistent results. By defining and maintaining clear processes, you will help ensure that all builds meet high standards and accurately reflect intended production quality.

  • You will provide technical leadership to a dedicated global team.

  • This role combines coordination and a strong understanding of vehicle development to deliver high-quality prototype vehicles that enable both technical validation and a compelling end-to-end customer experience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the electrical and mechanical integration of infotainment and car audio systems in a global low-volume vehicle program (up to15 vehicles)

  • Plan and coordinate vehicle builds, resources, and activities across Europe, the US, and Asia

  • Define and enforce standardized integration and build processes across all locations.

  • Ensure consistent, production-representative vehicles build globally.

  • Integrate automotive components (HMI, displays, cameras, HUD, head units, audio systems)

  • Align interfaces, wiring concepts, packaging, and mounting solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership to global engineering and build teams.

  • Oversee suppliers and partners to ensure quality, consistency, and maturity.

  • Act as key interface between engineering, vehicle integration, project management, and leadership.

  • Communicate status, risks, and deviations transparently.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or other relevant related fields.

  • 7+ years of firsthand automotive delivery experience.

  • Proven track record within the use of project management methodologies.

  • Technical background and documented hands-on experience from R&D projects.

  • Excellent communication skills both in written and spoken English and German.

  • Experience from working in the fuzzy innovative front-end of product definition and creation of early demonstrators.

  • Ability to work closely together with internal and external partners, vendors, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to provide technical leadership and motivate dedicated teams involving cross-functional team members and global stakeholders.

  • Financial stolidity, to stay within defined project budgets and to secure strong business cases.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 20% of domestic and international travel.

  • This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.  As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined at HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
