The ED Paramedic is responsible for administering prompt and efficient hospital care to the patient at an Advanced Life Support level. Provides care under the direction of the department leader in the evaluation, treatment of patients operating via in person medical direction and standing orders (protocols) approved by the hospital. Ensures optimal patient care and a positive patient experience.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
1 year of experience as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians – Paramedic level and Certified by the State of Louisiana as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic level.
- American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider, ACLS and PALS/ENPC. (NOEH will receive within 90 days)
- CPI obtained within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (NOEH will receive within 90 days)
