Superintendent- Commercial Construction-Night Shifts

Schimenti Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to support night shifts (8:30pm-8:00am) at a retail construction project in Clifton Park, New York.  As a Superintendent, you will provide leadership and supervision at a Schimenti construction site and ensure consistent safety measures are observed by all team members. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee field operations of commercial construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, laborers, and others at the job site
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and teams
• Daily interaction and communication with Field and Project Management standpoint
• Coordinate task completion and schedules with trade partners
• Verify dimensions and layouts
• Ensure all submittals are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain daily focus on job site safety and ensure security of project perimeter
• Responsible for updating daily logs and photos
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Monitor project costs, which include labor time and materials
• Attend and participate in required weekly project and subcontractor meetings

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience managing complex commerical construction projects on short timetables
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
• Collaborative and team-oriented
• High school diploma required, trade school or college education preferred
• 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certificate
• Ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus 

Software Systems:

• Microsoft Office experience required 
• Procore experience highly preferred
• Timberline/Sage experience preferred
• Basic working knowledge of Zoom or MS Teams
