Summary

The Lead PR06 (Discretionary) Team Member assists the Supervisor in coordinating daily departmental operations by communicating work assignments and expectations to Team Members, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting compliance with Tyson policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily departmental activities and workflow.
• Communicate instructions, expectations, and priorities to Team Members.
• Monitor work progress to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Provide guidance and support to Team Members during daily operations.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication within the department.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns to the Supervisor.
• Support production, quality, food safety, and operational objectives.
• Assist with Team Member training as directed.
• Maintain compliance with Tyson policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Consistently demonstrate Tyson's Core Values and the 5 C's.
• Maintain regular attendance and be willing to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
• Assist with resolving operational issues and perform other duties as assigned.
• Must demonstrate effective leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Must not have a written warning or suspension within the last one (1) year.
• Must be in the current role for at least six (6) months (180 days) unless the position is a promotion.
• Must have four (4) attendance points or less at the time of application.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift and walk as needed.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle products, materials, and equipment.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the work area.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to work in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
