Job Description
In this role, you will lead and oversee the execution of technology assurance reviews across the Bank's technology landscape. The role is responsible for driving assurance coverage, assessing the effectiveness of technology risk and control frameworks, providing independent challenge to stakeholders, and leading a team of technology assurance professionals to deliver high-quality assurance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of technology assurance reviews covering IT general controls, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, cloud technologies, and emerging technology risks.
- Oversee the identification and assessment of key technology risks and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls across critical technology functions.
- Manage and mentor a team of technology assurance professionals, providing technical guidance, quality review, coaching, and capability development.
- Partner closely with Technology & Operations, Information Security Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to provide independent assurance and challenge on technology risk management practices.
- Drive assurance planning and coverage strategies, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations, business priorities, and emerging risks.
- Review assurance findings, provide practical recommendations, and present key observations to senior management and relevant governance forums.
- Promote the adoption of data analytics, automation, and continuous assurance techniques to enhance assurance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Foster a strong culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the assurance function and wider organisation.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of Technology Assurance, IT Audit, Technology Risk, Cyber Security, or related experience, preferably within the banking, financial services, consulting, or Big 4 environment.
- Proven experience leading assurance, audit, or risk assessment engagements and managing teams in a complex technology environment.
- Strong understanding of technology risk management, IT control frameworks, cybersecurity principles, and regulatory expectations, including MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines.
- Broad knowledge of technology domains such as cloud security, network security, IAM, operating systems, databases, application security, infrastructure controls, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders while maintaining an independent and objective perspective.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leveraging data analytics and technology-enabled assurance techniques would be advantageous.
- Self-driven leader with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix, and globally distributed environment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CPA, or equivalent would be preferred.
