Description
- Enters hearing dates into computer and send out notices.
- Schedules cases for court.
- Assigns cases and dockets to various judges.
- Works closely with the criminal case manager and jury office to move jury.
- Reschedules cases not reached.
- Extensive and in-depth communication with attorneys and judges regarding trial dates, duration of trials and issues to be heard.
- Daily contact with clerk office personnel, judges and their staff.
- Maintains statistics on cases that are not reached.
- Maintains various calendars for the court and schedules of the Circuit Court Bench.
- Performs various diversified tasks and assignments as
required.

Must have graduated high school plus four years of continuous clerical experience.
Or
Earned an A.A. degree in related field plus two year’s clerical experience.
(Additional education beyond an associated degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to a maximum of four years for the required experience.)
Legal or court related experience highly preferred.

- Must have the ability to navigate system software at a rapid pace and be experienced in Word, Excel, or other data bases.
- Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
- Must possess the ability to plan and execute schedules on a daily basis.
This position is a non-merit unclassified position with the Circuit Court for Baltimore County and is subject to the personnel policies and procedures adopted by the Court.
The work of this classification is essentially sedentary, but may include occasional walking, standing, lifting of boxes or other limited physical activities.
