What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer who will primarily focus on planning, executing, analyzing, and improving performance testing activities for SOTI products and platforms. The role will also support networking, infrastructure, and IT administration activities when needed, including virtual machine maintenance, environment readiness, and troubleshooting support.
What You’ll Do
Handle performance testing activities including test planning, estimation, scenario design, environment setup, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Execute benchmark, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and other non-functional tests to validate product performance and stability.
Monitor application, database, server, CPU, memory, network, and garbage collection metrics to identify bottlenecks and performance risks.
Analyze logs, performance graphs, session reports, and monitoring data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Identify memory leaks, connection issues, response time degradation, resource constraints, and system bottlenecks across applications and environments.
Prepare detailed performance status reports, document findings, and follow up on defects and performance issues through closure.
Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and feature teams to support performance validation and root cause analysis.
Support networking and IT administration needs as a secondary responsibility, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics, endpoint/server troubleshooting, and environment connectivity issues.
Assist with virtual machine setup, maintenance, patching, configuration, and availability only when required to support performance test execution or environment readiness.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive setup, monitoring, reporting, or validation tasks using scripting.
What We’re Looking For
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong experience in performance testing, performance engineering, benchmarking, load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing.
Hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools.
Good understanding of application performance metrics, system resource utilization, monitoring, logging, and bottleneck analysis.
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, virtual machines, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, and environment troubleshooting.
Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing basics, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools is preferred.
