Description
Meet the team:
The Chemistry Lab supports the manufacturing department by providing the solutions needed and performing critical testing for product release. The team makes a variety of lab-scale solutions along with some mid-scale buffers alongside executing a variety of testing which includes pH, conductivity, viscosity, glucose concentration/HPLC. Working with the Chemistry Lab team, you can expect to get cross-trained in each of these areas and also to get exposure to a number of projects relating to the installation of new lab equipment and optimization of the Lab.
Front End Day shift:
This role is on a 12-hour day shift (7:00am – 7:00pm)
Every Monday to Wednesday and alternate Thursdays
Following a repeating 4-on/3-off – 3-on/4-off schedule
Where you come in:
- You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
- You will analyze and record test results and prepare written documentation
- You will maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and inventory levels of consumable supplies
- You will update documentation (procedures, protocols & material templates) as needed
- You will perform limited troubleshooting for laboratory equipment
- You may assist with test method validations and support process qualification testing
- You will assume and perform other duties as assigned
What makes you successful:
- You have relevant experience in a lab environment; including experience in solutions and/or raw material manufacturing processes
- Experienced in raw material and finished good testing (wet chemistry)
- You bring an eye for safety. Maintaining a safe environment for you and others as well as finding opportunities to improve lab safety.
- You have experience in equipment calibration, IOQ and preventative maintenance
- You are proficient in data reporting, trending, reporting observations and out-of-specifications
- You are compliant to all quality procedures and an advocate for Right First Time principles
- You understand how to follow and edit written procedures for commercial use
- You have knowledge of validation principles and practices (e.g., IQ/OQ/PQ)
- You have a proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
Experience & Education:
- Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and a minimum Level 6 diploma/certificate in relevant field.
