About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Principal Land Surveyor to join our client to deliver accurate land surveying services across all project stages. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting design and project teams, coordinating site surveys, managing survey data, and ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out land surveys throughout all phases of projects.
- Prepare and produce survey plans, sections, elevations, and related AutoCAD drawings.
- Conduct site evaluations and coordinate site access, preparation, and permits.
- Liaise with architects, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure survey requirements are met.
- Manage and coordinate survey activities and on-site survey support.
- Produce accurate survey data, calculations, photographic reports, and documentation.
- Ensure surveys comply with established standards, levels, orientations, and procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical input as required.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, project managers, quantity surveyors, and draughtspersons.
- Support continuous professional development and undertake training as required.
About You
The ideal candidate is a proactive and reliable professional with strong technical surveying skills and the ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Land Surveying.
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Valid Category B Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Clean police conduct certificate (issued within the last six months).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate survey data.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
