Laser Operator

 

We are seeking a Laser Operator to join our production team! The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, experience with CNC laser cutting equipment, and a commitment to safety and precision. In this role, you will operate, maintain, and monitor laser cutting machines to ensure high-quality parts and efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines according to job specifications

• Review work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine job requirements

• Load and unload materials (sheet metal, tubing, or other substrates) safely and efficiently

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications

• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of laser equipment

• Monitor cutting speeds, gas pressure, and laser settings to optimize output

• Troubleshoot minor equipment or material issues and report major concerns to supervisors

• Record production data and maintain proper documentation

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• 1–3 years of experience operating laser cutting or CNC machinery preferred

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and CNC systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
