P2JOB SUMMARY:
With minor supervision, provide maintenance support to ensure the safety and effectiveness of operation to equipment and for the team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing routine preventative maintenance repairs, performing emergency mechanical or electrical repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment and all grease room equipment. Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to the grease room and to all assigned production equipment and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals; must be able to work with pumps, separators, and process equipment, Basic understanding of electrical theory and system wiring and installation. Also responsible for minimizing downtime due to equipment failure. Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift and handle all mechanical problems that may arise in a fast pace environment.
Candidate must be able to repeatedly push, pull, stoop, squat, walk, climb and stand on hard concrete floors up to 12 hours per day. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. Exposed on routine basis to cold/hot temperatures ranging from 40 to 120 degrees, wet/humid conditions, and slippery floors in some areas. This position is exposed to noise levels that require hearing protection and area is very hot year round.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: 1 year of maintenance experience education preferred (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience
- Experience: 3(+) years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent experience; must have experience in hydraulics, and compressed air systems as well as pumps and separators is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, to process daily work orders and to complete required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills are necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to work in confined spaces, walk, climb, bend and stoop
- Repetitive gripping, pushing and pulling
- Work in hot conditions all day.
- Temperature ranges from 40-120 degrees
Work with cleaning chemicals with proper training and PPE.
Internal Requirement:
• Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
• No written warning in the past six (6) months
• No suspension on record for the last 12 months
