Campbellsville University Women's Soccer is committed to providing graduate assistants with a well-rounded, hands-on experience that prepares them for successful careers in collegiate athletics. Working within a nationally competitive NAIA program, the Graduate Assistant will develop practical experience in coaching, recruiting, player development, program operations, and athletic administration.

The Graduate Assistant for the Women's Soccer Program is a 20-hour per week graduate assistantship within the Department of Athletics. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and assists with all aspects of the Campbellsville University Women's Soccer program.

Coaching & Player Development

  • Assist in planning and conducting training sessions and team practices
  • Provide technical, tactical, and positional instruction to student-athletes
  • Support match-day coaching, including game preparation and in-game adjustments
  • Analyze team and opponent performance using video analysis software (Hudl, Spiideo, etc.)
  • Assist with individual player development and performance feedback

Recruiting

  • Identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes domestically and internationally
  • Maintain recruiting databases, evaluations, and communication records
  • Coordinate recruiting correspondence and follow-up communication
  • Assist with official and unofficial campus visits
  • Represent Campbellsville University Women's Soccer in a professional manner throughout the recruiting process
  • Ensure compliance with NAIA, Mid-South Conference, and institutional recruiting policies

Operations & Administration

  • Assist with organizing practice schedules, travel logistics, and team equipment
  • Help manage inventory and equipment distribution
  • Assist with administrative duties including scheduling, reports, and budget tracking
  • Coordinate team functions, community service initiatives, alumni engagement, and special events
  • Assist with social media content and program promotion as assigned

Academic & Student-Athlete Support

  • Monitor academic progress and encourage academic success
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for student-athletes
  • Support the personal, athletic, and spiritual development of student-athletes in alignment with Campbellsville University's Christian mission
  • Encourage leadership, accountability, and character development

Compliance

  • Adhere to all NAIA, Mid-South Conference, and Campbellsville University policies and procedures
  • Participate in compliance education and maintain program compliance standards
  • Assist with eligibility documentation and other compliance-related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Acceptance into a graduate degree program at Campbellsville University
  • Must maintain graduate student enrollment throughout the appointment
  • Successful background check
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Experience with soccer video analysis platforms such as Hudl or Spiideo
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes
