Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Student Associate to provide administrative support for day-to-day office operations. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a university research environment while assisting with a variety of projects that support physics faculty, staff, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the front desk, keeping the reception area neat and organized.

  • Logging incoming packages and mail promptly upon arrival.

  • Assist with maintaining and updating the department website

  • Assist with special projects and event logistics as assigned.

  • Perform other general administrative duties in support of operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with software applications, including web and content management systems.

  • Current UT Austin student in good academic standing.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time student work study position (10–15 hours per week, flexible scheduling)

  • Compensation in accordance with university work study guidelines

Hourly Rate:

$15.00 per hour
