Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide safety oversight for active construction and renovation projects.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and compliance issues.
- Review contractor safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses, permits, training records, and certifications.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Oversee high-risk activities, including fall protection, electrical work, hot work, confined spaces, excavation, lockout/tagout, and lifting operations.
- Track corrective actions and confirm timely resolution.
- Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations.
- Maintain required safety documentation and communicate risks to project teams and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate safety activities with contractors, project management, facilities, and Environmental Health and Safety teams.
- Exercise stop-work authority when serious safety risks are identified.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- 5+ years of construction safety experience.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
- Biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, cleanroom, or regulated-facility experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and safe work practices.
- Experience with site inspections, incident investigations, and corrective-action follow-up.
- Ability to review safety plans, permits, drawings, logistics plans, and project schedules.
- Strong communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The salary range for this full-time role is $91,000.00-$121,333.35 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
