Journeyman Electrician

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Wandering River working on various construction projects. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
•  Experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), CSO, ESTS, Confined Space and AWP/EMP.
• Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage, ranging from 47.50-50, commensurate with experience and certification
• Shift schedule is 10 days on and 10 days off
• 12 hour days, 8 regular and 4 overtime hours
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
