As this groups continues to grow both in the Mississauga / GTA and SW Ontario, you will have the opportunity to grow long term in a stable environment. Our client is a fast-growing electrical contracting company in the Mississauga area that is looking to add to its team of estimators. The electrical estimator’s main roles are to assist in estimating small to large sized projects using Accubid to produce accurate quotes and bills of material and communicate with the customer as needed. You should have experience quoting projects in the commercial and industrial sectors and an understanding of the Canadian and Ontario Electrical Codes.

Recommended Requirements:
-Experience with Water Treament or Manufacturing / Industrial Buildings (ie: Food and Beverage)
-Past quoting experience is a requirement
-Electrical 309A Licence and field experience would be an asset
-Communication and organization is essential including fluent English.
-Experience with Accubid or equivalent quoting software and an understanding of its functions.
-Up to date knowledge of the Ontario and Canadian Electrical Code.
-The ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single line drawings, building blueprints, and general contractor specifications.
Responsibilities include:
-Prepare quotes from supplied electrical drawings or single line drawings, building blueprints and general contractor specifications, equipment lists or general customer information.
-Prepare detailed material take-offs and labour hour breakdowns for cost analysis.
-Communicate with customers and suppliers.
-Conduct site visits to determine the constructability of projects.
-Assist in organizational jobs such as pulling electrical permits and communicating with field personnel and supervision when necessary.
-Interpret and apply the necessary standards associated with the Ontario and Canadian electrical code.
