What You'll Do
- Keep refrigeration units running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on TRUs in line with OEM procedures.
- Restore and maintain trailer interiors—including walls, floors, doors, and accessories like bulkheads and remote controllers—to ensure durability and functionality.
- Operate TRUs in diagnostic and service modes to verify performance and identify service needs with precision.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools like multi-meters, laptops, and testers.
- Service refrigeration and climate control systems through leak checks, soldering, recharging, and component repairs using specialized equipment.
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair
- EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Brake inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.25)
- Vehicle inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.19)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT driver’s certification
- Experience maintaining tractors and trailers
- Thermo King or Carrier Master Tech certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with computer applications (email, spreadsheets, word processing)

The hourly wage range for this position is $32.25 - $35.75* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
