Core purpose (60% role)
- Provide people leadership for the PMO team in Vietnam, creating a clear, inclusive and high-performing team environment.
- Coach, mentor and support PMO colleagues to build capability, confidence and effectiveness in their roles, aligned to career pathways and standards set by the Centre of Excellence (CoE).
- Lead and co-ordinate PMO resources required to support the governance and finance requirements of programs / projects to deliver business outcomes.
- Operate as a Program-level PMO resource, providing hands-on support and leadership across planning, status reporting, financial budgeting and reporting, risk and issue management and change control processes.
- Partner with delivery leaders to understand resourcing needs across the portfolio and support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities for your team.
- Act as a change champion for embedding the Domain Model and ways of working so that your team can operate effectively within the model.
- Live our PEAK and Distinctive Leadership values and use established processes and techniques to lead your team effectively.
- Support other chapter leaders and their direct reports during periods of leave where required.
Additional purpose (40% role)
- As a seasoned PMO professional, provide SME consultancy and practical guidance to help program teams deliver effectively.
- Support consistent adoption of PMO practices, tools and frameworks, while recognising that the strategic PMO capability roadmap is owned and driven by the CoE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, coach and manage PMO professionals to achieve business outcomes and build capability through day-to-day people leadership.
- Operate as a Program-level PMO resource, providing leadership and support across governance, planning, reporting, financial management, risks, issues and change control.
- Ensure timely resourcing of capacity needs, accurately matching technical skills and capabilities to overall Domain priorities.
- Develop and lead a high-performing, engaged and inclusive PMO team.
- Partner with the CoE to embed PMO standards, practices and capability uplift activities; contribute input and feedback, while the CoE owns and drives the strategic PMO capability roadmap.
- Support a one way, same way, right way approach to PMO services across programs and projects.
- Provide benefits support services, including benefits management guidance and advice, and ensure business cases supported by your team have SMART benefits.
- Accountable for ensuring project communities understand, apply and adhere to the common NAB approved Project Governance Framework, processes and toolsets, including coaching and technical support to program delivery teams.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Experience
- Ability to coach and lead PMO professionals to achieve business outcomes
- In-depth understanding of Financial Products, processes and systems
- Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and data-driven decision making
- Extensive business experience within the banking and finance industry, or in a consulting environment.
- Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a cross
- functional business and IT team through the discovery, development and operational
- usage stages of change.
- Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content
- Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships
- Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making
- Exposure to large scale project management in a large corporate
