Our Client is Looking For:
Our client, a well-established logistics and supply chain organisation, is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join their Transport Services team.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate administration of transport rates, quotations, subcontractor management, service level agreements, and transport-related compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational efficiency, maintaining profitable transport rates, and ensuring subcontractors meet the company's service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Transport Rates & Pricing

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of transport rates for local, long-distance and cross-border transport.

Support monthly diesel price adjustments and other rate amendments.

Ensure rates are updated accurately within agreed deadlines.
-
Verify rate accuracy across internal systems.
-
Monitor rate profitability and assist in maintaining target margins.
Quotations & Customer Support
-
Prepare transport quotations within agreed turnaround times.
-
Record and track all quotations and new business opportunities.
-
Assist with transport costing and pricing requests.
Subcontractor Administration
-
Maintain an up-to-date subcontractor database.
-
Administer Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring agreements are signed, renewed and filed correctly.

Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual requirements.
-
Track subcontractor performance and maintain performance records.
-
Ensure corrective actions are followed through where required.
Compliance & Documentation

Maintain subcontractor insurance records.
-
Verify NBCRFLI registration and supporting documentation.
-
Monitor licences, permits and equipment compliance.
-
Ensure all contractor documentation is accurate, current and properly filed.
Transport Capacity Support

Assist in maintaining adequate subcontractor capacity across operational regions.
-
Support the categorisation and ranking of transport providers.
-
Monitor adherence to approved subcontractor utilisation guidelines.
Systems & Reporting
-
Maintain accurate information across company systems.
-
Support subcontractors with onboarding and utilisation of the company transport application.
-
Monitor application usage and assist with corrective action where required.
-
Prepare reports and trackers as required by management.
Minimum Requirements
-
Previous transport administration experience within the logistics, transport or supply chain industry.

Experience preparing transport documentation and transport-related administration.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
-
Good systems proficiency with the ability to learn new software quickly.

Strong numerical ability with experience working with rates and quotations.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines.
-
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
