Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Auditor and Training Specialist to support quality assurance, compliance auditing, training management, and continuous improvement activities for a major Airport, Infrastructure, and Airfield Development Project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting audits, monitoring compliance with project requirements, developing and delivering training programs, and supporting the implementation of quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives across the project.

The Auditor and Training Specialist will work closely with Project Quality, HSE, Construction, Engineering, Contractors, Consultants, and Airport Stakeholders to ensure project teams are aligned with approved procedures, international standards, and client expectations.

The role requires strong experience in auditing, quality management systems, training development, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder coordination within major infrastructure, aviation, or construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement project audit programs covering design, construction, quality, compliance, and operational readiness activities.
  • Prepare audit plans, schedules, checklists, and audit criteria.
  • Conduct internal and external audits across project teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Verify compliance with:
    • Project procedures.
    • Quality Management Plans.
    • HSE requirements.
    • Contract requirements.
    • International standards and client expectations.
  • Document audit findings and monitor corrective action implementation.
  • Perform audits across major airport project activities including:
    • Passenger terminals.
    • Runways and taxiways.
    • Cargo aprons.
    • Aircraft stands.
    • External infrastructure.
    • Utilities.
    • MEP systems.
    • ICT and specialist airport systems.
  • Review contractor compliance with approved:
    • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
    • Method statements.
    • Work procedures.
    • Quality documentation.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance, improvement opportunities, and operational risks.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Identify training requirements based on project risks, audit findings, performance gaps, and organizational objectives.
  • Develop training plans, schedules, and learning materials.
  • Prepare and deliver training programs related to:
    • Quality management systems.
    • Project procedures.
    • Construction compliance.
    • Audit processes.
    • Documentation requirements.
    • HSE awareness.
    • Continuous improvement practices.
  • Coordinate training activities with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct classroom, workshop, and site-based training sessions.
  • Evaluate participant understanding and training effectiveness.
  • Maintain training attendance records, competency assessments, and completion reports.
  • Support development of competency matrices for project personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Recommend improvement actions based on training performance results.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the project.
  • Analyze audit trends, quality performance data, and recurring issues.
  • Develop lessons learned reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Promote best practices across engineering, construction, and operational teams.
  • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives across project stakeholders.
  • Maintain audit records, training documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare:
    • Audit reports.
    • Corrective action trackers.
    • Training reports.
    • Compliance dashboards.
    • Performance summaries.
  • Ensure documentation complies with project document control requirements.
  • Support preparation of project quality and handover records.
  • Coordinate with:
    • Project Quality Manager.
    • HSE teams.
    • Construction teams.
    • Engineering disciplines.
    • Contractors.
    • Consultants.
    • Airport stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality meetings, audit reviews, and improvement workshops.
  • Support communication of project requirements and expectations.
  • Build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor project compliance performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Track audit findings, observations, and corrective actions.
  • Support preparation of quality performance reports and management dashboards.
  • Provide recommendations to improve project governance and compliance.
  • Assist leadership teams in maintaining consistent project standards.
  • Support readiness assessments before project completion and operational handover.
  • Audit documentation readiness including:
    • Quality records.
    • Training records.
    • Procedures.
    • Asset documentation.
    • Operational requirements.
  • Support transition activities from construction delivery to airport operations.
  • Ensure lessons learned and knowledge transfer activities are completed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional auditing or training certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in auditing, quality assurance, compliance management, and training delivery.
  • Proven experience supporting major:
    • Airport projects.
    • Infrastructure developments.
    • Transportation projects.
    • Large-scale construction programs.
  • Experience conducting audits for contractors, consultants, and project teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering professional training programs.
  • Experience working within:
    • Delivery Partner environments.
    • PMC organizations.
    • EPC projects.
    • Client-side project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, compliance assessment, and quality management systems.
  • Understanding of:
    • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
    • Internal auditing principles.
    • Root cause analysis.
    • Corrective and preventive actions.
    • Construction quality processes.
  • Strong training development and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prepare professional training materials and reports.
  • Good understanding of airport and infrastructure project environments.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent certification.
  • Certified Trainer / Train-the-Trainer qualification.
  • Experience supporting international airport development projects.
  • Knowledge of ICAO, FAA, IATA, and aviation-related compliance requirements.
  • Experience implementing digital audit and training management systems.
  • Experience working under FIDIC or similar international contract frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Design-Build, EPC, PMC, or Delivery Partner project delivery models.
  • Strong experience managing training programs across large multidisciplinary project teams.
