As a Category Sourcing Expert you will be responsible for the execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. You will effectively manage the seven steps of the sourcing process including Spend analysis, Market Research, Supplier Due Diligence, Sourcing Strategy, RFx Management, Bid Analysis and Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management. What you will be doing:
Negotiating commercial terms for new agreements and renewals (Master Licence agreements, Cloud agreements, SOWs , Order Forms etc.)
Guiding internal business partners through the supplier selection process.
Working cross-functionally to document requirements, build RFPs, conduct negotiations for renewal or new agreement and identify savings opportunities.
Handling the sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with our policies.
Collaborating with various cross functional teams to develop Verizon's requirements and reach consensus on commercial approach.
Working closely with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, Tax, Risk Management and other policy subject matter experts to establish new agreement or renewal of agreements with Suppliers.
Working in an agile way, switching between categories with a large supply base to meet business demands.
Performing analyses of financial and business data related to sourcing operations and capability assessments
Identifying and evaluating the potential suppliers, core competencies using industry cost models, RFx development and execution, proposal evaluation, total cost of ownership, and supplier selection recommendation.
Managing and leading the cross-functional teams, running strategic sourcing processes, contract negotiation, contract administration including utilising sourcing systems, supervising supplier performance, analysing financial data, business planning, administration, and analysis.
Leading negotiations on the contract terms with the suppliers at Senior Management level and executing the contract in liaison with the Legal and Contract Management Team that bring in best possible cost service guarantee and develop strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers..
Executing supplier relationship management activities for key assigned suppliers within the assigned categories, with oversight regarding supplier relationship management.
Developing and managing multiple projects and expectations with internal stakeholders with a view to negotiating the best possible contract for Verizon

You'll Need To Have
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Project & Stakeholder Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment
Category Sourcing Management, Supplier Management and/or Purchasing experience
Ability to work independently, as directed, with limited supervision.
Ability to lead meetings/conference calls.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Strategic Sourcing experience.
Negotiation, cost management and analytical skills
Knowledge of the commercial legal language, terminologies related to contracting.
Experience in IT/Technology categories
Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP and/or Lean Six Sigma.
Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications.
