JOB TITLE: Channel Shopper Marketing Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: Channel Shopper Marketing Manager
FUNCTION: Customer Development
JOB LOCATION: Vientiane
Successful Profile
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, highly organized, data-oriented, and capable of translating category and shopper insights into winning customer activation plans while ensuring disciplined TTS (Trade Term Spending /BMI (Business Marketing Investment) management and excellent in-store execution.
Expectation for the Role:
- Effectively manage and track TTS and BMI budgets, ensuring spending efficiency, compliance, and timely customer claim settlement.
- Develop and execute monthly promotion and sales activation plans to achieve business objectives and maximize ROI.
- Lead and coordinate regular catch-up session with business stakeholder to understand upcoming innovations, category priorities, and campaigns; align plans with existing inventory, POSM assets, and secondary display availability to ensure effective execution.
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements with customers and distributors to support growth objectives.
- Collaborate closely with customers to implement marketing and shopper activation programs.
- Coordinate with Sales, Category, Supply Chain, and Channel teams to ensure flawless execution of key campaigns and stock buffers
- Drive excellence in availability, visibility, assortment, shelving, and merchandising to maximize product presence and share of shelf.
- Leverage market insights, shopper understanding, and business data to develop growth strategies and recommendations.
- Ensure effective management of stock supply and customer replenishment to maintain CCFOT above 95% and OSA 85% total MT.
- Monitor promotion and activation performance and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, or FMCG-related fields.
- Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good negotiation, communication skills & stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Resilient, adaptable, and agile in a fast-changing business environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
