As a Software Engineer II – iOS, you will work with a team of mobile engineers building the Alarm.com iOS application used by millions of customers every day to secure and manage their homes and businesses. Our mobile team supports a broad feature surface, including real-time video streaming, IoT device controls, security system workflows, and smart home automation. In this role, you will have opportunities to contribute across multiple technical areas of the iOS platform. Typical projects include Swift and SwiftUI feature implementation, iOS media framework integrations, and backend API connectivity. Strong problem-solving, self-learning, and effective team communication are must-have attributes. Very few companies develop across such a wide range of technologies as Alarm.com. We are building a new team in Krakow. Our employees work fully from the office with the possibility to work remotely occasionally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop iOS features for our flagship mobile application used by millions of customers.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle—from requirements and implementation through release—while partnering with iOS, backend, QA, and product teams.
• Implement and improve real-time streaming experiences using iOS media frameworks and protocols such as RTSP and WebRTC.
• Create responsive, high-quality interfaces that align with Apple UX guidance and established internal architecture patterns.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new iOS technologies and implementation approaches for challenging project goals.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to choose between fast iteration and longer-term robust solutions based on context.
• Bring your ideas: we value engineers who contribute to product direction and quality, not just implementation details.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of professional iOS development experience. • Strong proficiency in Swift (Objective-C experience is a plus).
• Experience with Xcode, iOS SDK, and modern architecture patterns (such as MVVM and coordinator-driven flows).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing/modeling, and backend service integration.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming using Swift Concurrency.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies in mobile applications.
BONUS POINTS FOR…
• Video streaming experience using AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, RTSP/WebRTC workflows, or custom media implementations.
• Experience with SwiftUI for declarative UI implementation in production apps.
• Knowledge of package-based modular architecture and dependency management practices.
• Familiarity with mixed Swift and Objective-C interoperability.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices, including secure storage and authentication patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD or release pipelines for iOS applications.
• Knowledge of analytics and crash reporting tools used in mobile production environments.
• Experience with TestFlight or structured beta release processes.
• Interest in broader Apple ecosystem development, including iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, widgets, or extensions.
• Exposure to IoT or connected-device product domains.
