Description
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform functional testing of robotic systems and electronic, electromechanical, electrohydraulic, communications, and related technical components.
- Apply advanced diagnostics and independent judgment to solve complex, non-routine electronics problems that cannot be resolved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals, schematics, or similar documentation.
- Perform detailed circuit analysis, calculate waveforms, trace signal flow, isolate malfunctions, and evaluate the interrelationships of circuits and subsystems.
- Use complex electronic test instruments, including high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and computer-controlled diagnostic equipment.
- Determine circuitry location and density, evaluate electromagnetic radiation considerations, and incorporate approved engineering changes into systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Submit and update work orders, document repair time, request parts, and maintain accurate maintenance records in Government-approved systems of record.
- Perform quality assurance checks on new, repaired, or modified systems and subsystems in accordance with Government-provided checklists and accepted maintenance practices.
- Support material fielding, operator and maintainer training, static displays, robotic demonstrations, technical meetings, customer program reviews, and readiness reporting as required.
- Review maintenance actions, identify recurring technical problems, recommend corrective actions, and support updates to repair procedures, technical documentation, and training aids.
- Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and support to lower-level technicians as appropriate.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or completion of a formal specialized technical or military training program in advanced electronics strongly preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of progressive experience in complex electronics maintenance, repair, advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, robotics maintenance, unmanned systems maintenance, or related technical support.
- Proven ability to resolve complex electronics malfunctions through advanced diagnostics, circuit analysis, fault isolation, calibration, component-level troubleshooting, and operational testing.
- Deep understanding of circuit interrelationships, including the ability to calculate waveforms, trace signal flow, and analyze complex electronic systems and subsystems.
- Highly proficient in using advanced test equipment such as high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and computer-controlled diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to evaluate electromagnetic radiation considerations, determine circuitry location and density, incorporate approved engineering changes, and verify compliance with accepted maintenance and safety practices.
- Ability to document maintenance actions, update work orders, request repair parts, and maintain accurate technical records.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, support, on-the-job training, and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Government stakeholders, technical personnel, military end users, subcontractors, and a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to plan work, select appropriate diagnostic approaches, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, safety, and compliance.
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Government contracting experience preferred.
