Description
Join NXP Semiconductors Austria and gain hands-on experience in a highly innovative engineering environment. We are looking for a working student (part-time) to support our NFC Digital Modem Team in improving our automated Digital IP integration, verification, and release platform.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of a new software platform based on Continuous Integration (CI) principles and help create a Command Line Interface (CLI) for FPGA-based prototyping systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gain exposure to the complete development lifecycle, and further develop your software, digital design, and problem-solving skills.
Your Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand technical requirements
Develop implementation concepts together with the team
Design, implement, test, and release software solutions
Maintain version-controlled databases and documentation
Create and update an online User Reference Manual
Present demos and new features to the team
Your Profile:
Ongoing studies in Software Development, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Good knowledge of Linux and scripting (Bash, tcsh)
Programming experience in C and Python
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, ClearCase)
Basic understanding of software engineering and development processes
Knowledge of Digital Design, Verification, or Synthesis is nice to have
Experience with FPGA programming and testing is nice to have

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
